My best weekend

This is surely by best weekend in Hyderabad till date.

Huge gang of my friends from Bangalore landed in here on Saturday morning. We had a lot of fun in Snow World, Golkonda Fort and Prasads IMax(Open Season which is my very first 3D movie).

Secondly I managed to crack into top 20 in a russian defrag contest.
My aim was top 10 but still it is a good start. Screenshot inline.

Oh Captain, My Captain!

This was said by Walt Whitman but I am talking about 'Dead Poet's Society'. It shows us what poetry and innoscence is, just like 'School of Rock' shows us what is rock n roll.
The first thing I told Mechi after watching the movie was "I didn't have any issues with Mohabbatein, untill I watched this movie".
The movie makes you feel like a kid again.

I had a similar feeling last weekend when me baby n manchi were shopping in the toystore. I realised two things
1. Now, at 22 I am slowly realizing things I should've done as a school kid.
2. By the time we begin to get a idea about what we want to achieve and what we would love to do for the rest of our lives we area already in our final year of graduation or are already working.

May be these are the reasons I spend so much time playing computer games like romanduels and defrag. Defrag.ru is holding some competition recently, hopefully I'll be able to crawl into top 10.
Carpe diem.

Waste(day)++

Yes. Yet another day wasted. Well, what's new.
I can so easily be convicted of killing time. Good thing is I can't be framed for it twice :D

Well today in metacafe I saw a dude who posted a lame shutdown shortcut thing get a 'Producer prize'. He didn't even assign it a keyboard shortcut, what's the world coming down to?

One of the most interesting thing I saw today was this

"Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zeppelin

The part
"If there's a bustle in your hedgerow
Don't be alarmed now
It's just a spring clean for the May Queen

Yes there are two paths you can go by
but in the long run
There's still time to change the road you're on"

When played backwards
"Oh here's to my sweet Satan.
The one whose little path would make me sad, whose power is Satan.
He'll give those with him 666.
There was a little toolshed where he made us suffer, sad Satan."?

I had heard of it before but never got to hear it.
It is demonstrated in this site. very neat.

After a long time

After a long time, a long time indeed.

I would suggest men to discover the magic of shopping, you'll see why ladies spend so much time on it.
Warning: Men tend to spend more, a lot more than ladies when it comes to hard earned cash on stuff and that too at an alarmingly short time. So Beware.

After watching 'The Departed'(it is a masterpiece) yesterday evening, I remember my friends commenting on the climax of the movie and it not being in good taste. I admit that I was pretty shocked too. But the movie is Martin Scorsese's creation, I am sure he had his reasons for it to be that way. To demand the movie or a part of it to be something else changes the movie and I certainly wouldn't want it. What people don't get it is that 'Changing any part of something.. well.. changes it, it ceases to be the same'.

One more thing caught my attention very recently. It is a comic strip. I seriously have no idea why I liked it so much.

What could've been my first blog post

I was cleaning up the dashboard by deleting all the unpublished blogs, surprisingly there were quite a lot of them. One of the entries caught my attention, probably because it was the longest published/umpublished entry I had written(even though it was incomplete) or may be because had I published it then it would've been my fist post, even before this.

Was just wondering what the blog started as and what it has become, I blame the second law of thermodynamics, it applies to all systems right. Anyway here is the complete content of my first incomplete blog.

South Indian('s) Trip

Thursday 19th October 22:10
Waiting for the bus to Banglore, The VENSON Volvo was supposed to pick up at 21:45, but still not to be seen. I was wondering about the Kanyakumari trip planned for the weekend, this would be my first long trip with my family for some time. I had taken leave on friday and tuesday for the very same reason. The Travels guy was shouting something in telgu, on asking he told me that the bus had arrived and waiting near the cross due to heavy traffic. 'Lage raho Munna bhai' was played during the journey, the only decent movie to have been played in the bus till date( and I go home often, quite often). The movie was interrupted due to CD problem, damn u Murphy.

Friday 20th October 10:00
I know 10'o clock, the bus was very late. The first thing I did after getting home was something to eat and go for a ride(fun time for me n my bike, we've got 1:1 relationship - very faithful :) ). Soon as I got back Dad started rushing with the packing, I thought that we had time cos the flight was at 5:15, but we had to report there one hour earlier and it takes more than an hour to reach there, needless to say why. After reaching the airport inspite of getting there one hour early, due to the luggage mix up and disposal of some dry cells( which were not allowed in handbags) we barely managed to board on time. For the first time I got the chance to sit by the window, the view was beyond words. It actually make me think about the evolution of my childhood dreams. At first I wanted to join army, later it was to be a pilot, finally I settled to what I am now :( . After getting down at Cochin we got to the taxi which was booked earlier. The driver was Mr.Attitude, and it was fun watching my father give him long speech about how to behave. Finally we got to the Hotel in Cochin city which was about 25km from the airport, all the way I was wondering how Kerala looked so much like Mangalore.

Saturday 21st October
The day started with going in search of a cobler to mend my chappal at 7 in the morning. I managed to get one, Murphy must've been asleep. We traveled to Kottayam, and searched for the resort we were supposed to stay for the day. We reached a dead end in the road which was supposed to lead to the resort. On asking some guy at a nearby shed, after a lot of inquiring he told us that we're near the parking and we were supposed to go to the resort by boat. After reaching the resort we went for a ride on speed boat(it was fun except for dad, he thought its very risky and repeatedly kept asking us to hold the seat tightly :-|) and swam for a while later. That day Damien Martyn lead Australia to victory against England, I was watching the match while my family was enjoying kathak at the hall. I was later told that the show sucked. Hah! strike 2 Murphy.

Sunday 22nd October
We were supposed to go to the bird sanctuary by 7:30, but by the time we got ready it was past 9:30 :). We had to take a boat to the place, I was having enough of boat rides for the day and we had a boathouse ride planned too. The bird sanctuary had everything but birds(we saw a few crows though), it was only while returning that we saw a couple of birds fishing. After shopping for some snacks we boarded the boat house at around 12. The ride was mostly uneventful, except for the part where we went searching for fish fry and got some crap at a local hotel(by local I mean really lokkal). I called up baby and he said he was hanging out with one of his friends and my roommates in Hyderabad went for go carting, I wondered how I manage to miss all the fun. The journey on water ended at around 4:30 and we left for Kovalum, a place near Trivandrum. We spent the night at a hotel which had brach right next to it. I tasted Oyster for the first time that day, I used the famous words "Yumm, tastes like chicken" but no one got it.

Monday 23rd October
The day started well with playing at the beach next to the hotel, the beach was very good but there were too many fishermen and way too many nets. After swimming for some time at the pool we left for Kanyakumari,....

(not to be continued) how I wanted to write this to some post :)

BTW, did I mention that we missed the famous sunset in Kanyakumari. A friend of mine(Sudheer) had been there recently, they managed to miss both sunrise and sunset. The words I was looking for - "Amazing da, is that a talent or something", courtesy wikidude.
